Solid Waste
The City of Benson Solid Waste pickup is currently provided by Southwest Disposal. For residential properties service is offered twice a week Monday through Friday. Pickup times can vary, please insure your can is out before 6:00 am and away from any vehicles, fences, or gas meters.
Solid waste collection is required for every owner and occupant within city limits. (City Code Chap. 9, §9-1-7)
For new trashcan requests, complaints, or questions please call the Finance Department at 520-586-2245 or email us at utilities@bensonaz.gov.

Collection FAQ's
To request a replacement trash cart, please email us at utilities@bensonaz.gov or call us at 520-586-2245.
To guarantee trash collection on a scheduled collection day we encourage you to:
- Place your container out at the curb by 5:00 AM or the night prior to pickup.
- Make sure there is nothing preventing the collection of your trash cart, we recommend 6 feet from each side.
- Place the container with the lid completely closed and facing the towards street.
