JUNE  2023 CITY OF BENSON TRANSIT UPDATES


As of June 2023, Benson Area Transit has published an updated Rider's Guide that will be effective July 1, 2023. The Rider's Guide is a helpful resource that provides new and regular BAT riders with current rules and guidelines for ALL of our BAT buses. The Rider's Guides will be available on BAT buses and at City Hall, Benson Public Library, and Benson Visitor's Center.

As of July 1, 2023, the Wednesday trip to the Food Pantry will be by appointment only. To schedule a ride to the Food Pantry, please call Dispatch at 520-586-9406.

All vehicles are wheelchair accessible and operated in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.  The City of Benson receives funding for Benson Area Transit from  SEAGO Area Agency on Aging Grant and ADOT 5311 Rural Transit Grant.

Benson Area Transit is a public transit system and is NOT equipped to work as a non emergency medical transport. 

Greyhound Bus Service Times

Greyhound bus service stops daily in Benson at the Visitor's Center on 4th Street:

Amtrak Schedule Sunset Limited:

West bound  Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday scheduled arrival time - 5:18 pm    (Mar - Nov)    6:18 pm   (Nov - Mar)

East bound  Monday, Thursday and Saturday scheduled arrival time - 9:15 am     (Mar - Nov)   10:15 am   (Nov - Mar )
